I believe you need all the same stuff as a regular boat. Light, life jacket, etc. However, if you find out, let me know. I've got an 8 foot pontoon I'd love to use to get after the walleye out there. I haven't had much luck from shore there, but always done well from a boat.

I have floated there a few times myself in the past,I had a question in the past with not much responds(see link below),you should be able to put in where you want IF you have NO motor,if you have a motor you have togo thru inspections before they close?were a head lamp,PFD,you dont need the lamp on untill a boat heads your way,if your anchored you will need a wht light on all time I think, becareful get there before dark if you dont know the lake well, post a update when you return, have fun and catch fish!!! enjoy
Maybe others will chime in with more to tell you

I float at night all the time. Here is what you need. If you have a motor, you have to follow the same regulations as a boat. You need a bow and stern light. Luckily there are many places that offer portable lighting that can be used. You can search the web or get items from walmart. You can also use glow sticks. As long as you are using the correct colors. If you do not have a motor attached, there is no regulation thus you can boat without a light. This is what the rangers told me, I had to remove my motor and could continue boating. I would recommend though leaving your red beam on or some light on when tubing and tuning in the dark. Its just polite but not a rule.

I have been asked for a 360 light by the ranger recently. He was very nice about it and it makes sense. And it needs to be on at all times. A head lamp does not count as that is what I had. You do not need to do inspections at CC but you do at Q and Atown for float tube (with out motor). With Motor same as a boat. But like like a boat I always make sure my tube is dry and sand free (clean). same with waders so on.

Hope this helps

Also what dmccull2000 said has held true for me and it depends on the ranger I think. Like he said be polite and think about your safety and others.
