Post By: Animaal      Posted: 6/22/2012 9:35:42 AM     Points: 0
Wanted to know if anyone is willing to help me modify my new pontoon boat. (9 footer inflatable) Wanted to add a few extra rod holders, raise the seat about 6-10 inches maybe put solid flooring of some type to allow my feet to be out of the water. Thanks for any help.

does it have the rear basket for gear? i zip tied a three rod holder to the back of mine. easy mod to do. the flooring might be a bit more since youd want lightness and rigidity.

If you want some truly sick ideas on rigging, check out various 'toons rigged by the California Bass 'n' Tubes clubs. You can view the rigging gallery here: [log in for link]

I've modified my 'toon a little (those of you who've seen it can chime in, if you'd like), with rod holders made out of PVC for both storage and trolling, a transport wheel, and a mount for my Lowrance M68/S. Most of the mounting was done with 1.25" to 2" PVC, cable ties, and a minimal amount of drilling. Here are a couple of pics that might help - I'm not on the same level as the Bass 'n' Tubes guys, but my setup works.
