I was out there two weeks ago and caught quite a few pulling spinners on a bottom bouncer with a worm.

I use senkos dragged along the shallows in the back bays next to the weeds. Its great for getting quick limits of bass.

Sean - sorry you got skunked dude. Thanks for the heads up on the water level though... You might try hitting up a random cove at P-lo to shake the skunk...

For those who have done bass fishing at the brush what side of the res have you been fishing for them(shore wise) ive been a few times never caught anything but tiny bass(minnow sized). I know at the north end there is alot of weeds, is it possible to wade out to those in chest waders?

Also how is the catfish biting with the water level being low as it is?

Jbel85- the weeds are thick all around except the dam. A half ounce sinker will stay on top of them. Spend some money, get a full ounce tungsten punch sinker, a punch bait like a beaver with no appendages, and a good strong hook.

Catfishing there always seems best from midnight to about 4 am in the morning. I've only used livers and crawfish tails with great success on both.

Any status on the water level? Any eyes bieng caught. I am assuming the level is low that hand launch boats are only way to get out on the lake? let me know I may plan a trip in the next couple weekends to take my daughter out there. Thanks
