So heard the springer fire rushed through the canyon but the maps of the fire arent anywhere close to it. I am hoping that it didnt destroy the beautiful canyon. Im praying for the fishing and the people's lives and homes around that area. We went for a fishing trip up to Spinney and Elevenmile last Sunday when it started. Loads of smoke over the hill from Witchers Cove. Im wondering if anyone was in the canyon around 12 pm and got any pics before the evac. 11 mile canyon one of the most beautiful places to fish, hoping it didnt get hit.

It is sad Colorado Springs and Fort Collins are burning down.

The Springer fire is now contained. Its still burning and will be for a week or so.

From what I heard, the fire was kept North of the Platte, although it tried to breach the line a couple times. Also, remember that the fire can cause significant damage, but so can the red slurry if it gets in the water system. The first rain will be a really muddy event, too.
Question: Is the evacuation of the canyon lifted, yet?
