I must say that even all the times my grandpa had told me carp were trash fish, i still didn't believe they were meant for the the trees along the shore. He never hucked one up there, but i think we all have seen the occasional carp carcass rotting in the sun. but after tonight, well after tonight's 31 in., 16 lb., 10 minute fight, biggest fish to date for me, i must say although that face won't win any beauty pageants, they are a great fish to catch and a memorable one at that. that's number 10 on the species list for this year.
