Post By: refisherman      Posted: 6/19/2012 8:11:15 PM     Points: 258
For the Tourny on the 23rd what is the deal with shore and boat fishing?
Is there two different groupings? Any clues? Thanks

Regarding boat inspections for the tournament. I just called and was told if you plan on launching your boat in the morning you need to have your boat inspected tonight. Otherwise you might be waiting around for the inspector to arrive which is usually 6:30 or 7:00 I believe.

I called this morning and for those of you like me and dont live close, You can take it to any state park to get inspected and Tagged. Taking mine to Cherry creek in just a few. Also found out there are only 34 teams registered. Should be a great time!

The tournament was a good time and in my opinion was run very well. Not sure that a trout tournament in June would be suggested again however. For trout I would like to see it be a spring or better yet a fall tournament. Good time though!

I agree it was run very well but i think it would be better in the fall too.

I will try to get a list of the standings from the tourney. I think the big fish was 2lbs and some change. I will also relay to have the tourney held in the fall instead of june.

Winning fish was 2.35 lbs, 2nd 2.09 lbs, 3rd 1.45 lbs. Tourney was fun, but I agree with having it in the fall.
