That was cool of you to return the fish so others might have a shot at them one day too! Sounds like a fun day of catching!

lewdog,
I figured it out, fishing with senkos. I didn't catch one under 10" and my largest two were 14.25".

We'll have to hit it up again.

Been getting all smallmouth zero walleye in four outtings this year there so far. One very nice one which was released. This was on the Saturday when the fire started. That is the white which looks like clouds in the background.

That's a huge boat. Well, they'll have fun in it.

The walleye are deep during the day and gorging themselves on smelt and other forage fish. So they're not very hungry during the night. This has been a hard year to catch walleye at the tooth.
You should have better luck at Carter.

Carter has been good for walleye. you have to fish structure during the day for them but late evenings and night they come up to about 6-8 feet to eat. jigs with minnow work good and cranks work well too.

Thanks for the tips. I wont get back up there for a while though. Fishing funds are running short this week.

The eyes are biting late....after 10 at least. I have done well along dams....and on west points......the usual lures....unconventional retrieves.
