Hello, I am a shore fisher that loves to fish for trout in colorado.... I usually go to lakes that are not this far west. such as eleven mile and some others... would love to get some advice on baits/lures and areas that are good from the shore as I am taking my dad to the lake at the end of the month.... any help is appreciated.

Turquoise you shouldnt have a problem finding action... alot of stocker sized Trout. The typical bait Fire balls, powerbait, crawlers will do... I believe the inlet(or outlet) is where we had the most success.. Good luck!

Went to Turqouise over Memorial Day weekend very windy. But had lots of luck. Grandson caught his 2 the first day which was on a Friday, Saturday went to Halfmoon and relatives caught their share. Sunday the boyfriend caught 4 within an hour. Bait used powerbait and the green marshmellow ones. Going this weekend stock report says it was last stocked on 6/12/12 so hoping to reel in some nice ones.

i was just there in a boat. but was casting close to shore a trout hd and had enough dink trout to keep anyone busy. lakers were few and far between. shoreline was busy with surface action. kastmasters, flatfish were good with the hds.
