We camped at the Elk Ridge loop, great views of the lake and has to be the cleanest/best maintained campground in the State park system. Got a slip at the marina for $16 a night, great idea if you're there for a long weekend - saves time on waiting for the boat ramp on weekends and makes sunset cruises easy. Fished every morning with success each day, watched DOW truck drop 3500 trout from the boat ramp Friday 6/8/12. Water is nice and calm until around noon or so everyday, then wind picks up. Best success fishing was trolling rapalas or still fishing with worms (they sell them in the visitor center) . Saw many bank fisherman catching fish around the marina bay and up the river inlet area.
Water level down 8-10', temps 59-62 degrees, colder up the river of course.
