Fished a local pond for carp today, ended up with one carp 21" on a size 20 stonefly, my first carp on a fly and my biggest fish on a fly so far. Took me about 20 min to land it in my small trout net. Check out the pics.

5x tippet! =4-5lb test depending on brand. That's learning how to play a fish like that, awesome job man.

Thats an awesome fish my destination for carp is the south platte! You should try down there some time theres a bunch in the denver area.

I've tried the platte on several locations, I can't seem to key in on fish there though

Hey pikefly ive read some of your posts before and it looks like you fish bear creek quite abit. we should hook up on the river some time and share some info, i fish there atleast 3-6 times a month. Heres a pic of a nice little bow on 11 mile cayon.

been catching tailing carp on weighted crawdad fly patterns in the swallows early and late day. mid day fish white antron cottonwood imitations to sipping carp. carp on!
