Ok, I've neglected to inform Fx of my recent catch. Haven't really had time. But here you go. 42 inches 22 pounds on a 7 weight with a near nuff crayfish.

I did not snag it. I kept it because she didn't have the energy to swim off, and she was bleeding from the gills.

Props on the fish man. Once in a lifetime.

Posts about TM's tend to bring out the worst in a lot of people on this site so be prepared to deal with the haters.

Once again congrats and keep fishing hard

Niiiiiice fish man.... I have always wanted to catch one especially on my fly rod.... I think it's a beautiful fish, obviously a lot of people are gonna get mad about keeping it but as long as you tried your best to release it and it has a reason to die I can respect your decision.... I personally don't think the fish is over 15 inches though haha just kidding I think you were pretty accurate with the size

That fish looks to be about the size of that kids leg, and he could be a tall guy too... I'd believe 42" and 22lb.
Talk about some serious trash talk!
Great fish, sometimes they bleed and just can't be revived.

Must have been pretty hungry taking a crayfish.

Sometimes they take a little time to revive. I've released plenty a worn out nigh fish of diferrent species. Some that go belly up initially, but it takes time to revive them. Here s a 35" i caught two weeks ago. I released her from a nearby dock so she could rest shallow and I could keep an eye on her. A few not so lucky eyes and a fat smallie cpr ed. Just to add to the fish porn.

Good work. That fish sure looks 40plus and 15plus.
Hope a mount comes out of it in the future!

Thanks guys, it is going to become a mount, it is my coupe de grace. I'm 6 1/2 so I guess it would be about that size. All I know is that it wasn't easy to get home! Once again I appreciate the positive criticism, and I will put forth more effort to get fish back in the water!

Nice catch! Gotta say I am a little jealous as I have been hunting a Tiger for (2) years now at Evergreen. Wish it could have been released, but thankful for the your effort in trying. Go hang that in your room!

Happy fishing...

Congratulations on the nice catch! Sorry that there are so many tools on this website (the guys with zero points whose first posts are to disagree with you on length and weight or hijack your thread with their own fish pics). It seems that there must have been some posts removed by the mods as well - people unhappy about you keeping the fish. Sorry about all the fools. Bottom line is you caught a nice fish and it may end up being the biggest tiger you catch in your life. It doesn't matter if it was bleeding or not, your fish to do what you want with it (within the limits of the law of course) whether that is release it or put it on your wall. You don't have to apologize or feel bad about anything. You owe them nothing. Once again, congrats!
