Average for what lives there, or what is commonly caught? Those are vastly different sizes based on my experience sampling with CPW nets at Boyd!

i wouldnt mind knowing both, i have just been catching quite a few in the 2.5 to 3.4 pound range and was just wondering if that was about usual for a bigger bass caught from Boyd. Thanks

I have been fishing Boyd for several years and the largest we have caught was just a little over 4 lbs with most in the lower 2-3 lb range.

On another note regarding Boyd, is air quality suffering due to the fire by Ft Collins?

Air quality is pretty variable - if the wind is blowing out of the SE, then the air in Ft. Collins is pretty good, but if we get any sort of a west, and particularly a NW wind, then the air gets pretty bad.

FishDr,
Is that in Ft Collins or at Boyd?

SgtPreston,

It all depends on wind direction. If the wind is coming out of the NW, I would expect that you'd get pretty smoky conditions clear down to Boyd. If it's coming out of the S, then Boyd should be fine.

Boyd has been pretty clear of smoke. i live on the east side and havent been able to smell the smoke (except last night for a couple hours) but even if the wind is coming from the NW the air quality is still pretty good
