Where's all the wiper/walleye action?
Post By: Ch00Chee      Posted: 6/11/2012 1:52:31 PM     Points: 1437
I haven't been out for a few weeks. The last trip was at Jackson when that coldfront came in. I still haven't hooked up my first wiper of the year and I want my brother to catch one too. Where has all the wiper and walleye action been going? When we fished Jackson, it was a bit too late because we had already missed the action. There were walleyes biting pretty good but I still want my first wiper of the year!

Lew, headed to Plo this weekend with the wife. Will be fishing from the boat during the day and shore at night. Any side of the reservoir more accessible from shore for wiper? Don't need spots, just an area to head to that is accessible, most likely with wading access to get out farther. If you're willing to offer any information, I'd appreciate it, and if not, then so be it. Thanks

Chooch,
the wiper bite is still good at plo, but just got word from my buddy that its starting to slow down a bit. JM still doing good, sterling, union, lonetree, jackson is hit or miss. Its like buying a scratch ticket, you'll have to buy alot to hit a good one. Just get out and try. You're done with school so get out and fish.

Caught this one at jackson last friday afternoon using a nightcrawler, the fishing all around seemed slow though, that was the only catch of the day(not that im complaining)everyone else we ran into wasnt having any luck and it was extremely windy. it was 21 inchs 4 and 1/4 lbs the biggest wiper I can recall ever catching.

hey chooch, cherry creek is also producing wipers. Wipers were hitting monday night, then went back for more and caught a bucket of crappies wednesday morning. The one with its head sticking out to the left came in at 15.5.
