Windy-Windy

Went again on sat on the water a little after 8am, last sat around 1pm we watched the dark clouds zoom pass by us with a little rain producing some nice white caps, needless to say was just as windy yesterday, So we knew we had to go slow back to whitchers ramp whipped out a small hd trout and procede to troll back getting several hits and hook ups allowing for easy c&r.This time it was a little breezy when we launched so we decided to troll to the spot and see what happens no hits from wc all the way to the island. As been the usual my friend in the pontoon boat was on the spot pullin off his double hook up routine noting that he was only getting around 14" stockers. It was very windy we had to get a couple of firm anchor lines even to fish. Around 9.30 first line bubble and a half a worm here comes a 20" rainbow within seconds lets just say i was done limited by 10.30 good thing because it was time to go gettin a little too hard to put the boat on the trailer in the wind. We trolled back this time with 2 hd's getting hits in 20 to 30 feet marking a ton of fish suspended around 10ft. Even in the wind the mile is a real big fish producer last weekend a 22" brown my best and this weeks 22' fat rainbow. Off to another epic year GL GP PS Try to post photos later

I was there also there on saturday. We hit he water around 5:30am. Did really good in the srea you are talking about. I was in a green 14ft boat. we had to get off around 11:00am . I was just a little bit too windy for my boat. It was a good morning of fishing.

Right on glad you guys did well. The Wind is such a double edged sword there - On the one hand it kinda stinks and on the other that's when the action is good (up to a point when super duper windy I have less luck but I'm a shore fisherman).

We fished Saturday night from 7pm to 11:45 PM and winds were steady 10MPH N/NW then calmed to 5MPH from 10 to 11:45 PM so it was pretty nice but wind was not bad at all for the evening fish. My brother and I did real well with 9 total one was 20" 3.5 Lb. cutbow (his personal best) and kept 5 total. Mmm... Mmmm... trout :)
