Flyfisherman, as far as flys I really don't know , but we catch a lot of big carp on minnow type baits while eye fishing, I have seen them sucking cottonwood seeds off the surface, we have done well in some local pits using #10 dry fly hook and white yarn, that might work at creek. If I were to target them at creek, I would use a dark bugger and sinking line, if no carp are takers ,I would about bet some eyes would bite it. Hope this is of some help.
