Lake: Tarryall Reservoir
Surprise Pike
Post By: Walleye Woman      Posted: 6/4/2012 6:31:41 PM     Points: 396
Went to Tarryall on friday after hitting Jefferson in the morning. Was windy as always but caught 3 bows right off the bat with spinners then my pops threw out a rooster tail on 6lb line and caught a really nice pike. Took 15 minutes or so to get it in and me getting wet up to my ass in the water to net it. Had another one on just 5 minutes later but it bit through the line. Hit up the waterfall afterwards and caught a ton of bows and browns.

Awesome. Shot nerves I bet too. Trying to reel a toothy fish in with no leader takes it out of ya.

I hope you don't mind me asking: will you folks eat or mount that pike? Pike taste great but someone might put one that great on the wall. Just curious.
