Hit up Lonetree this morning - float tubed the west side from the boat ramp to the NW corner of the lake and back. Was looking for Wipers, throwing various minnow imitations on an 8 weight fly rod and a 200 grain sinking line along the outside weed edges and next to emergent vegetation. Once again, the Wipers didn't show, but caught one 17'' wallye on a fire tiger EP minnow. Was the only strike I had all morning. Wipers are a tough study at this lake, at least for me. Couldn't remember if the size limit was 15'' or 18'', so the Walleye was released unharmed.
