Hello All, I took the wife and Grandaughter this weekend to Lake John. As Bill said in the latest report the fishing is great. Even better was Bill at the Lake John Resort. Bill was helpful friendly, as always he is willing to lend advice whenever asked, so unlike some of the park consessionaires just looking to make a buck. Bill was gracious enough to offer to loan me a grate, when I was prepared to buy, allowed me to hang out just to allow my grandaughter to play with his dog. In addition the items I did purchase all were very reasonable, no gouging at this place. I would encourage everyone to visit this lake, great fishing, great host , and beautiful surroundings. By the way we did catch and release at least 150 in 4 days, including about 20 in the 14"-17". Everything worked, Kastmaster, Taz, HD Trout, and of course Power Bait. Once again thank you Bill Wilcox and the Lake John Resort, what an asset to the Colorado fishing community.
EG785 - Thanks for the info on the host and the good fishin' - It is not every day you find someone that goes that much out of their way to make people feel good and it's obvious your host did :)
Yes they are great people Bill and his wife Tish. We were married up at Walden city hall last Sept. and Tish witnessed our marriage. They also have a wonderful little restruant with the best food and it's reasonaly priced. They are just one of the reasons we fish Lake John all the time, no place is as nice as this lake as far as we are concerned!!!!

We like Lake John as well, and yes Bill & Tish are great people, and the restaurant has wonderful food, we eat there when we are on vacation at least one nite.
Also agree here!! Bill is an awesome guy, always updating reports and more than helpful with info!! He makes the lake John experience well worth it!! Also awesome ice contest! With great prizes!! Keep up the good work! Can't wait for ice season again! Reclamation of the lake seems to done really well!
