Lake: Wolford Mountain Reservoir
Cut Bows
Post By: 1badcj8      Posted: 5/25/2012 9:11:35 PM     Points: 10
About 6 years or so ago we used to go out to Wolford fairly frequently and we'd troll for trout and mainly got Cut Bows and would just kill'em. Are there any of those still hitting out there? Still a good trolling lake? Thanks in advance.

Well what a great question. You can still catch cutbows but not like you have in the past. The fish biologist Jon Ewert of the DOW has been working on making Wolford a Kokanee and brown trout fishery. The results have been astounding. Fisherman are catching quality browns the past few years and the Kokanee fishing is probably the top three reservoirs in the state. If you would like to talk in person of the changes at Wolford please give us a call at 866-472-4943. Thanks. Jeff
