Went to horsetooth and caught 13 smallmouth. The one in the pic is 13", then i caught a 15", and ended the day with an 18". I probably had ten or so come off. Could have caught more but i kept changing my tactics to try and catch some walleye but no luck, and i left at 7 when i was really getting into the bigger smallmouth.

You can feel free to send all your 18" smallies my way. Just doing what I can to help out a fellow fisher

use a weighted 3/0 g-lock worm hook and a 4 inch dark green yamamoto sinko, texas rigged. thats what was getting me the bigger bass towards the end of the day. check this out i caught this morning

Stiff-arm fail, too obvious lol! Nice LMB anyway, but it looks bigger than you when you hold it straight out like that! I'm guessing 16" 3lbs. & not from Horsetooth?

Yeah...I don't think there's any LMB in that lake.

I've never fished Horsetooth, but live in town. Just seemed like an overwhelming amount of shoreline to work without a boat and no clue where to start. Any suggestions on types of shore to fish from out there? I'd love o catch some good smallies like those!
Also, nice LM

park at the swim beach parking lot and go from there. use cranks or plastics they all work out there
