Kokanee reports?

We're going to be trolling later this week. Anybody been chasing them and what would be the best gear? Normally I use arnies, dick nites, swedish pimples and the like. We have been doing ok the past couple years but decrease in numbers and size seems to be the trend. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Kokanee has been fishing unseasonably well this year. Sounds like you have the right gear. Fish haven't seemed to be overly picky about color yet and for this early in the season we are seeing some good size. Not sure why it has been so good so early, but we're not complaining.

HalfCurl...

Just a nickel's worth. I mix it up like to stay within a limited water depth example might start by following 60 - 100 feet water & stay there for a time and work a range with down riggeres @ say 24 foot to start because that is about the max depth useing lead core. BUT continue to troll 1 lead core line with a single downrigger out & change up my depth range with down rigger any where from 24 to 60 foot mix it up & they wil find you

Thanks for the updates and good info. We hit it wednesday and thursday with high winds being the rule. White cap conditions 1/2 of both days adds challenges. Action was spotty but we were restricted to lead core lines this trip out.
