Fish: Hybrid Striped Bass(wiper/palmetto)
Wiper

Does anyone have suggestions where to fish for wiper? I live in the Springs and I'd like to catch some wiper without traveling very far. I know prospect has wiper. Is that just a waste of time or is there a large enough population that it'd be worth trying?

Pueblo Reservoir.

Pueblo is the place for wiper, but figuring it out is reputed to be tricky as the location of the wiper is unpredictable. I plan to hit Pueblo for wiper a couple of times in early June. Send me an email if you want to work it together, I've got a 16 ft Alumacraft and plan on trying a combo of trolling lures and fishing minnows under slip bobbers. Michael_Courtney@alum.mit.edu

Next weekend I'll be hitting Eleven Mile Reservoir again for trout, and we've had great success the past few weeks. Shoot me an email if you'd like to join me, as this is something I've had much more success with than chasing wipers at Pueblo.
