Lunch Break Fishing
Post By: SquirrelEater      Posted: 5/15/2012 10:00:01 AM     Points: 27
Going to try fishing Pikeview on my lunch hour today. Its been a couple years since I've fished it and am hoping to at least get a bite. Last time I was there I used a worm under a bobber on the SE shore and had some luck with trout. Today I'll be throwing out some small rapalas to try and get whatever will bite. I saw in recent posts that small crawdad cranks were doing good for panfish so i might try one of those too. Any other tips would be great!

Slow presentation was the key last Friday.

Thanks for the solid info from both! Looks like I'll be doing a slow rapala presentation to try and entice a bite :)

VERY slow that is lol

Don't go too slow today... the weather has done a 180 and that should mean that the water will be warmer and the fish a bit more active.

Well no luck for me today but I did see a school of carp about 20' out in the shallows. Saw a few people pulling out some nice trout off the West dock. Maybe next time I'll get into some action :)
