We did a 4th of July weekend at DeWeese a few years back and found it to be more of a party lake then we expected. The people next to us blaring music from sun up to sun down. Other people on ski doo's flying right next to shore while we tried to fishing. Went out on the boat and couldn't troll with all the people flying around. I personally will never camp at DeWeese during some type of holiday again.

Pros:

No fee to camp
You can camp right on the water
You can have campfires as long as there is no active fire ban
Multi-species water
Blast to fish at night
The possibility of catching the elusive Tiger Musky

Cons:

Windy much of the time
Rains often
As mentioned, can be a party lake at times
Crowding
Tough lake to figure out - Must keep your bait off the bottom in certain spots
Portions of the lake are private property
