All,
As most of you are already aware, the runoff forecast for Ruedi Reservoir for the month of April is the lowest in several years for the period of mid-to-late spring. With that in mind, in order to conserve water, we have begun reducing the releases from Ruedi to the Fryingpan River.
Today, Wednesday, April 4, we cut releases back by about 27 cfs. The resulting flow in the Fryingpan at the Ruedi gage is about 67 cfs.
Friday, April 6, we will cut releases back again by another 27 cfs. The change will be made in mid-morning. By afternoon, flows past the Ruedi gage in the 'Pan should be around 40 cfs.
The 40 cfs release will remain in place for the near future.
As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions. I will keep you all posted of any changes.
Hopefully, there will be more snow.
Best,
Kara
