you can call the redfeathers general store, but as of last saturday there was still 8+ over most of the lake.

It SHOULD be safe, but as always late in the season use extra caution especially near the deeper areas.

as an aside... fxr+ membership gives you access to historical updates, and will allow you to see when the ice has come off over the last few years, (typically late april to early may)

if you do make it up, please post an update.

Hmm... When I was up on Sunday March 4th, it was 12+ inches in the two places I drilled. Since it was 8 inches one week later than that, and now another week's gone by, I would be extra careful, especially since fishing in a group requires thicker ice.

FWIW, the stocker fishing was still hot. Any bait, any color I tried, over a range of different depths. Got in the way of my sucker fishing.
