I have been fishing since I was 3 and Im 10 now and all I normally catch are trout. If you see some of my posts im new to bass. When I'm not targeting bass I'm at some private ponds and lakes. I always catch big fish but this one stuck out the most of all besides my 24 incher on the fly. This 17 1/2 inches and 1 1/4 pounds look me 2 hours to get him to bite. So, I was fishing when I saw a big thing chase it and I told my friend, " I just saw a huge Brookie chase my jig." After two hours I forgot he was there and then BOOM! he hit hard and I set the hook. He took out lots of drag before I landed him. Earlier that day I caught a 14 incher and saw a GIGANTIC brown. Later that day I caught a 13 inch bow and a brown which was 2 pounds and 16 inches. I thought it was a snag it was so tough to reel in. When he was close he jumped and then I noticed he was a fish. I love these places. Sorry I will put a picture of my brown on later when I get my email with it. I was fishing on October 27, 2011 using a black grub with a black jig head.
