Spent the weekend in North Park and went to North Michigan Res. Caught 31 rainbows on Saturday all cathch and release. Easy fishing. Size ranged from 8" to 15". Ice was 12-14" thick. Easy access to lake. Great spot for kids.

Nice job on the fish. North Michigan is a nice lake. Too bad about all of the dead trees due to the beetles but it is still a great place. I have not ice fished it but the family and I get up there a few times each summer. Sounds like you had a good time!

I will be heading up there this weekend. Easy access to the lake is nice since we go up w/o any sleds and at times it can be a "fun" walk down through all the snow. Hoping to catch enough to make dinner Saturday night. 15" is a pretty good size up there for the bows, nice job!
