Hi all,
Attached you will find a copy of today's news release (www.usbr.gov/newsroom/newsrelease/detail.cfm?RecordID=37483) announcing the availability and public comment period of the Draft Environmental Assessment on the Colorado Water Users' Commitment to Provide 10825 acre-feet to the 15-Mile Reach of the Upper Colorado River.
The public comment period is open until October 24, 2011. The Draft EA can be viewed from our main website (www.usbr.gov/gp/ecao), our Ruedi website (www.usbr.gov/gp/ecao/ruedi.html), or our National Environmental Policy Act website (www.usbr.gov/gp/nepa/quarterly.cfm#ecao).
We will be hosting two public open houses--addresses are in the news release. The first will be Oct. 11 in El Jebel. The second will be Oct. 12 in Hot Sulphur Springs. Both will run from 6-8 p.m.
We are accepting written comments on the draft EA through October 24. To submit a comment, please provide it in writing via e-mail or regular mail to the attention of Lucy Maldonado at lmaldonado@usbr.gov or 11056 W. County Rd 18E, Loveland, Colo. 80537.
