Lake: Grandview Ponds
Where's the fish?

Checked out Grandview Ponds on Saturday the 18th of June in the PM. No bites on Salmon eggs, Power bait or Rooster tails. Spotted one bass and saw at least three ginormous carp getting rowdy in the late afternoon. Is the second time I have been to Grandview and got skunked both times. Does the city of Thornton stock these ponds? If so, does anyone know when?

They stock trout for the kids fishing derby. As for when any stockings take place is up to the CDOW. Follow what ponds are stocked each week by checking out their website.

Yeah like Alan said they only stock it once a year in preparation for the kids fishing derby and it has not been stocked yet this year.

You have a much better chance at a trout if you went to the Thornton Gravel Ponds.
