Biography:

Dave Maynard is passionate about many things but pursuing any fish is right at the top of his list! Dave grew up in the Florida Keys where he started fishing about the time he learned to walk. His island home of Key Biscayne allowed a few casts nearly every day and the rewards were many fold. Moving to Colorado in the early 80's Dave became tuned into the wiles of trout and the allure of high mountain lakes and streams. Beginning in 2001 Dave Became the host of "Fishing Across America, a TV show which aired on Outdoor Channel. After 8 years, a Fan Favorite Golden Moose Award, several Telly Awards and over 100 shows Dave became the Executive producer of 5th day productions and host of another show "Fish the Baja, which airs on Versus/NBC Sports. Plying the waters of Baja from surf to inshore to offshore Dave is proficient with nearly any tackle or technique to catch a fish. A Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Fly Casting Instructor, Dave loves now catching "new" species on the fly rod but far and away his favorite thing to do on the water is sight casting!
