Jarrett Edwards Jarrett Edwards is a former Bassmaster Elite Series competitor (9 years) and current host of Jarrett Edwards Outdoors National TV (4 years). Together with his wife Rebecca they own/operate Edwards Entertainment which is a full service production company.
At the age of 31, Jarrett Edwards has been fishing the Bassmaster Trail for 9 years. He has made his living on the ESPN Bassmaster Elite Series trail (NASCAR level of competitive angling) for 4 consecutive seasons placing him among many of the World’s Top 100 best bass fishing professionals. Jarrett has made special TV appearances for several national stations ranging from ESPN, ESPN 2, Fox Sports, Outdoor Channel, The Sportsman Channel, World Fishing Network and ABC News World Tonight with Peter Jennings. In 2006 Jarrett retired from national competition as the youngest professional to ever make his complete living in the sport.
Today he is one of the youngest National TV hosts of his very own highly popular “Jarrett Edwards Outdoors” fishing show. The first and only National TV show dedicated to the popular fishing waters of the Western US. The popular series is shot in the very latest in HD equipment specializing in live underwater dive video, scenic aerial shots and multi camera production. JEO is a multi species show consisting of exclusive practice of catch and release angling. Being a young TV Host from a highly respected background allows him to appeal to many different demographics and age groups. The show airs on average of 16 times per week, 52 weeks per year on The World Fishing Network, Dish HD Channel 394.
Jarrett and his wife Rebecca own and operate “Edwards Entertainment” a HD production company specializing in the outdoor industry TV production through boat, helicopter, underwater videography and multi camera production. They produce in the very latest HD technology. In addition to producing our own television series they film specialty events, commercials and infomercial events plus more. Owning their own production company allows them to produce only the finest film available.
Cancer Survivor: In 2005 Jarrett was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma stage 2B cancer. After an 8 month battle with chemo and radiation he was able to become cancer free heading into the inaugural 2006 Bassmaster Elite Series. Today he spends several months every year helping others through the disease. This is his passion!
Conservation: Jarrett works as a national ambassador for the RBFF (Recreational Boating Fishing Foundation – takemefishing.org) as he travels the country promoting fishing to tens of thousands. He works with the RBFF with pledge driving, logo placement, also with seminars and appearances.
Jarrett holds the Colorado state record for Largemouth Bass at 11.6 pounds. Caught nearly 12 years ago, Jarrett broke all records world wide by being the youngest sportsmen to catch a state record northern strain largemouth bass!
Jarrett, along with his father Jim Edwards, owns and operates “Blue Water Promotions”. Blue Water Promotions is the leader in demo tank technology with four of the world’s newest and largest tanks traveling from coast to coast. These tanks range from demonstration bass tanks to our unique kids trout ponds. Our youth ponds, in the last 36 months, have helped exactly 188,000 kids fish from our aquariums with many of them catching their first fish! These tanks average over 100 days of use per season! Jarrett finds time to promote the clean, family sport of fishing to tens of thousands of anglers alike during public appearances throughout the country. He averages over 60 days of appearances annually!
Jarrett also speaks annually to over 2000 of today’s youth while traveling to many public and private schools. He often gives motivational speeches on being drug free and living your dreams. After surviving cancer and climbing to the top professional ranks of bass fishing Jarrett has a remarkable story to share with others.
Jarrett also writes for three national bi-monthly publications, writing 12 articles annually. Currently over 175 articles published and still going strong! The ability to write free hand about many topics gives Jarrett has been featured in numerous national publications ranging from: Bassmaster, Bass Times, Inside Line, Bass West USA, Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, In Fisherman, North American Fisherman, Esquire plus many more.
Jarrett and his wife Rebecca have created the largest ever giveback to troops within the outdoors through a unique soldier program called Operation Outdoors USA. The Edwards travel the country getting signatures on their boat before they donate it to the Lone Survivor Foundation which is a state of the art rehabilitation center for soldiers returning home from different theatres.
