Dan Swanson is a professional walleye fisherman and guide residing in Fort Collins, Colorado. Aside from competing in tournaments across North America, Dan has returned to his roots as a multi-species angler, fly-fishing mountain rivers, guiding for walleye and bass on Horsetooth Reservoir, and chasing a variety of fish in the numerous lakes in northern Colorado and Wyoming. From 2004 until its demise, Dan fished the In-Fisherman Professional Walleye Tour and competed in the 2004 PWT Championship as one of 52 qualifiers. He was also named the 2004 PWT West Rookie of the Year. Featured on Mountain States Fishing with Terry Wickstrom, The Fishful Thinker with Chad LaChance and as a regular contributor to the Fan Outdoors radio show, Dan is a teacher at heart having left the corporate world to help others learn how to catch fish. He gives frequent seminars and presentations in Colorado with a focus on walleyes and electronics.
