Lake Granby area fishing report 5-12-2014

by: Bernie Keefe 5/12/2014
This Lake Granby fishing report is brought to you by "Fishing with Bernie". The ice is off and the fishing is very good. The hazards on the lakes are not marked so be careful. At Wolford, Williams Fork, Willow Creek, Grand Lake and Granby  the rainbows and browns are close to the shoreline small crank  baits early in the morning. After the sun comes up try jigging 2" "Gulp" minnows, marabou's or spoons. The pike in Williams Fork will eat a very slow lure or fly in the afternoons, fish where the wind is blowing into a shallow bay. The lake trout in the area can be caught along the shore or out in deeper water. They are all over the water column. Please be careful and release any larger fish, these fish can be over 40 years old and could use our protection. Bernie Keefe has been a fishing guide in the Granby area for over 15 years.
