This lake Granby area fishing report is brought to you by fishing with Bernie. The rivers are starting to open up, nymphs, san juan worms and egg patterns have been working. Willow Creek and Wolford reservoirs continue to kick out kokanee in the river channel on small spoons tipped with wax worms. Rainbow fishing is good in Wolford, and Willow Creek in 6-12 feet of water. Lake trout are biting well in Williams Fork and Granby, watch for fish suspending in the water column. The pump canal is fishing well for rainbows with small jigs below a bobber.

Lakers in < 40FOW are typically on the bottom. Lakers in > 40FOW are from 40FOW - bottom.
The bite has been very soft - watch for them to gently pick it up on the drop and set the hook hard!
Rainbows at WF may be biting in other places, but they are certainly biting in 20 or less FOW low int he column and hitting jigging raps and small rubber jigs tipped with tiny bits of sucker skin or a mealworm. They are not all big (plenty of stockers) but they are fat healthy and beautiful fish...
