Lake Granby area 9-10-13

by: Bernie Keefe 9/10/2013
This lake Granby area fishing report is being brought to you by “Fishing with Bernie”. While it is tough trying to compete with 1000's of crawdads, the fishing at Williams Fork is getting better. The Lakers are hitting small jigs and the pike are eating crank baits. If you are a vegetarian Shadow Mountain looks (might not taste) like split pea soup with plenty of floaters. I have no idea how the fishing is because I am afraid to go near that water. The lakers in Grand lake and Granby are still eating small jigs tipped with sucker meat. The Kokanee at Wolford reservoir are more then willing to jump on trolled or jigged spoons down by the dam. The streams in Rocky Mountain National Park are still producing Brook Trout with an occasional brown.

Thanks for the Wolford info. This is a very difficult lake to get any outside info on. Those who fish there are quite secretive.
