Veterans On Ice
by: Shane DuBois 2/19/2013
This upcoming weekend at Evergreen Lake, CO, BTFM will be teaming up with Patriot Anglers, and Fishexplorer to bring you the 1st Annual Veterans On Ice event! No this will not be veterans ice skating, rather ice fishing! The event will start on February 23rd, at 8 a.m. and go until approximately 3 p.m. A few BTFM contributors will give a basics on ice fishing seminar, and then itís off to use the knowledge shared! We will have holes pre-drilled, and will have limited ice fishing gear, so if you have some bring it!
The event is open to all veterans and active duty military! If you would like to come and volunteer please email us at email@example.com We will have a few prizes to give away, great fishing information to give out, and most importantly a great time out on the ice for everyone to enjoy themselves! We would like to thank our Sponsors for Donations to this event! Patriot Anglers, Born To Fish Media, The Blue Quill Angler,Evergreen Trout Unlimited, Fishexplorer.com, Dynamic Lures, Colorado Walleye Association, Valley Country Tackle, and JawJacker
We look forward to seeing everyone out there, and make this a successful and fun event!

My wife, youngest son, and I will be there. We will help if we can. I've been passing the word at the VFW post her in Golden. Thanks for the great event and for offering your time and skills Shane.

Of course I finally see this post on the 25th, after the event has taken place, but it doesn't matter. My disability does not allow me to play in the cold. If I just get a chill on my neck or back, I am physically locked up like a vault. Anyway, I want to know what kind of future plans are being made for veterans angling events when the weather is warm and more inviting to the average fisherman. Does anyone have any info on such things? Thanks.
