Last year during the ice season in an effort to learn more about the people here on Fish Explorer, I submitted a series of posts on the FxR+ side of the forum. These posts were called 3 questions.
In the series, I asked 3 questions of prominent, longtime members of the site, across a broad spectrum of fishing interests. It ran for 20 weeks or so and became a popular series of posts that involved several members asking questions themselves. The three questions that I asked were...
1. when did you start fishing and who helped pique your interest in it?
2. What would you say are your biggest accomplishments, both personal and otherwise that fishing has helped accomplish?
3. How have your methods changed over the years, and what does the future hold for ______?
From these 3 questions and the answers recieved, a lot of other questions and comments surfaced in each of the interviews as well. A lot was learned, stories were exchanged, and new friendships were made. I personally learned a lot about techniques, rules, different methods, and even more importantly, the backgrounds and stories of so many of the fisherman that I admire and fish with.
Several people have asked that I continue the series, and I will! This season, I am going to feature the Field Editors of this site, so that we can all hear from them, about them, and have the opportunity to ask questions in an open forum format!
Please look for these posts in the next month or so, and ask any questions which you feel may be appropriate. Open discussion and dialogue is what makes the interviews interesting!
Until then, may you all have great luck and safe, fun times on the water!
