Chance to Clean Up at Horsetooth
by: David Coulson 10/19/2012
The title is literal. The Centennial Bass Club is conducting a habitat project this Saturday, as in tomorrow, October 20, 2012. With the blessing of Larimer County Parks the plan is to gather trash in the western coves while the water is down. They would welcome assistance from others in helping with this worthwhile project. Rest assured I will be there.
The plan is to meet at south shore parking (near the swim beach boat ramp) lot at 8 a.m. per Steve Barbee the event organizer (firstname.lastname@example.org) Heís planning on bringing his boat and access the coves from the lake. They can also be accessed from the Lori state park side. So bring your boat if you want. As I donít have a boat, Iíll either hitch a ride or drive around.
I understand there will be some trash bags, but bringing your own wouldnít hurt.
Anyway, if youíre not busy tomorrow, come on out and give a hand cleaning up the coves while the water levels are down. And if youíre like me, youíll linger afterwards and cast a line.
