The kokanee salmon spawn at Roaring Judy Hatchery has begun!  Every friday through October, there will be a salmon give away of 10 fish to every person with a fishing license.  The give away starts at 9 a.m. and lasts until all of the fish that were spawned over the week are given away.

This give away has been going on for many years and draws people from all over the state as well as several from neighboring states such as Utah!  If you want to be sure to get your 10 salmon, show up early.  Most give aways have cars lining up on thursday night to be first in line!  If all of the cars go through and there are still fish left, you can go through again and get 10 more salmon along with a special 20 fish possession voucher.
