2012 TroKar Championship Cup: Launch Time!
by: Jeff Jones , California 10/2/2012
As the season winds down anglers are preparing for the final tournament of 2012 at the Rocky Mountain Team Series, presented by TroKar Hooks. Wilson Lake, the quality bass factory in Central Kansas, will be the venue for this end of year event which will crown the TroKar Champion Team for 2012 with a big payday and big prizes!
All year long teams have been planning for this elite event, including many of the readers here on FishExplorer who participate in the Team Tournament series. Teams compete in four qualifying events to gain points to earn a place at the TroKar Championship Cup tournament. Of the four qualifiers, the teams count the best three events for point accumulation. In the 2012 season thirty-eight teams have qualified for the best paying tournament of the year and the team that wins will earn at least a guaranteed 1st Place payout of $2000, a Legend Boats voucher worth $2,500, and a pair of Rayjus Outdoors Custom tournament jerseys! All the contestants will also be eligible to win a lot of great prizes from the RMTS sponsors during the prize drawing.
Teams may also enter the optional side pots; the Bass Pro Shops Big Bass prize will be awarded to the teams with the largest bass of each day, and the TroKar High-Stakes Pot will pay the top three entrant teams a bonus check that sometimes doubles the entry pot winnings, depending on the number of entries!
Wilson Lake hosted the second event of the 2012 season and it took 26.5 pounds to win including a Bass Pro Shops Big Bass weighing 5.34 pounds. With the fall feeding frenzy kicking into gear we may see even bigger fish and weights this weekend!
See you at the lake!
RMTS is sponsored by: TroKar Hooks, Wright & McGill Victory Reels and Rods, Eagle Claw Lazer Tungsten, Denver Bass Pro Shops, JF Davis Construction, Legend Boats, Seaguar, Bass Pro Sites, Berkley, Calibre Boat Repair, Live Line Baits, Rayjus Outdoors Apparel, Star Tron Enzyme Fuel Treatment.

I was told this was and industry meet-n-greet...not open to the general public, Jeff?
