Success....
by: John Stevens 6/2/2012
In the case of last nights All Night Fishing Event at Aurora Reservoir, success came abundantly!
In almost any measure possible, the event was a complete success! First off, over 90 people participated in the event, a number which by many was deemed unachievable. Secondly, well over 100 fish were caught, third, a true potential new state record smallmouth bass was caught AND RELEASED and fourth, a great time was had by almost everyone in attendance!
A tremendous amount of hard work, and effort went into making this event a success! I want to personally thank Ms. Crystal Yusten, for organizing and putting together this opportunity, All of the rest of the Ranger Staff at the Reservoir, for doing a great job keeping us all safe and legal, the City of Aurora, for allowing us to enjoy events like this in a truly world class, premier fishery, and to all of the fine folks here who came out and were a part in the success!
A special Thank you to Mr. Chad LaChance and Mr. Terry Wickstrom, for allowing me the opportunity to appear on the Terry Wickstrom Outdoors radio show, and to Mr. Shannon "Lefty" Larsen , for allowing me to join him on Lip Em and Rip Em Radio! Thanks for helping me to get the word out!
Here is the tally of the species caught and a rough number of them.
Walleye...93+
Smallmouth Bass... 5+
Largemouth Bass.... 1
Trout.....8+
The numbers are not exact because not everyone reported in their catches.
Great job everyone! I look forward to seeing you all at the next All Night Event August 31st!
