Tune up your kokanee skills!
by: Robby Richardson 5/4/2012
Saturday May 12th at 12 noon in Colorado Springs at Sportsmans Warehouse, I will be giving a seminar on how to find and consistently catch kokanee salmon in Colorado! This free seminar will be held in the fishing section of the store. I will be covering everything kokanee, including electronics, trolling speeds, lures, colors, depths, rods, reels, and much more. Kokanee are a very pattern-able fish and once you start to put some pieces of the puzzle together you can really dial in a hot bite! A lot of people don't know that Colorado has several lakes with great salmon fishing. Kokanee salmon are a very sporty fish to catch, but more importantly, these fish are delicious! I have grilled kokanee salmon along side several other types of ocean run salmon and kokanee are just as good if not better in taste! If you have any interest in learning more about kokanee and targeting them, this free seminar will really help put things in perspective!

Robby Richardson (SportFishColorado), CO 5/4/2012 12:09:34 PM Itchy- Yes. I don't use cowbells at all. itchyreelfinger, CO 5/4/2012 12:35:11 PM I will be fishing Grand on Saturday and for most of the summer. Targeting Macs but would like to learn how to get the Kokes. Especially when I have guests. I assume lighter line, a dodger and a mathching lure on a downrigger is the ticket. Wish I could attend your seminar.
