Getting there: provided by parks.ca The recreation area can be reached by exiting Interstate 5 at Hughes Lake Road, 41 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. From Ventura, it is 51 miles to Castaic Lake via Highway 126 and Interstate 5. Latitude/Longitude: 34.5347 / -118.6108

Special Regulations: Fishing from docks, launch ramps is NOT allowed. Fishing from the dam is permitted, within the designated areas. Fishing in coves "Closed for spawning" is prohibited. Cleaning of fish on the water or shoreline is strictly prohibited. Live bait can only be used if caught in the same day and location. Trolling in the Main Reservoir ski area is NOT permitted.

Lower Lake (Lagoon) Campgrounds    # of Sites: 60    Fees: $20
Courtesy of Castaic Lake Recreation -These sites are designed for self-contained camping and have NO hook-ups of any kind. -Each campsite has a BBQ, picnic table, and fire ring. -Each parking lot has access to one of three public areas, where more space is available for picnicking and other recreational activities. -A handicap accessible fishing pier and fish cleaning station are close to parking lot “A”. -Public rest rooms are available between each lot.
