Biography:

I was born with this tremendous passion for fishing. My great grandparents introduced me to fishing as a young child and I haven't put the rods and reels down since. It's in my blood! I started out fishing streams and off shorelines in fresh and salt water as a child and have explored every fishing opportunity since. I remember as a kid, begging my uncles to take me and my cousin fishing to Lake Mead when I would go visit in the summer. I would plan the trip from beginning to end just for a chance they would agree to take us. This is where I saw my first Striper boil and was it something else. I had never seen anything like that.I lived in Castaic Lake for 8 years and utilized every moment I had to get on the water. There was a period in the 90's - mid 2000 when I co private charter mastered overnight fishing trips out of Oxnard with a intimate group of friends.
I have fished various local bass tournaments with my wife's cousin Jim. I have been fishing with Castaic local sensation Timmy for many years as well. I recently started fishing with Todd. These are some of the names you will read in my blog. I was fortunate to have Butch Brown as a neighbor for several years as well. This is where I was introduced to giant swim bait fishing. I fish with Chad and Jaime as well. Andrew is my weather expert. This what makes Team Furious a team.

Today, I am blessed to be located in the heart of some of the most heavy hitting Largemouth Bass lakes and ponds in the world. Castaic is well known for Bass being caught in the teens routinely. I am also blessed to have the support from my wife, children, family, and friends to do what I really love to do.

What you will learn from me at Fish Explorer is a combination of what is hitting on the lake during the various seasonal changes, what gear I am using, and how to use it to get them in the boat. I take great pride in catching fish every trip I take to the water. It doesn't always work out but that's the goal.
You will also read about my ethics on the successful catch and release of fish. This is a big deal for me!
