Uvas Dam
Guest Blog by: Tod Costello 2/17/2012
The water level at Uvas Dam is not good.  The lake level is dropping fast as the lack of rain this season and is taking its toll.  The water is about in the 50s i would say, but the air temp has been near 70.  The fish are completely lost.  They don't know whether to spawn or continue on with their winter pattern due to weather and then you add in the water falling daily with no rain they are just all overe the place.  Anything you can pattern them on is out of the water leaving the fish in a mode of desperation,   We need some rain but then the water will be rising which i am sure will affect the fish as well.   I will continue to monitor and keep updates coming.
Tod "TC" Costello has been a fisherman since a very young age. His grandfather Gerry Nelson taught him the true meaning of fishing, its the love of the outdoors and the anticipation of what could be and to always respect the great outdoors. Tod is one of the original members of Bass N Tubes, a local kick boat/float tube Tournament Bass fishing club. He also wants to bring back the true art of Bass Fishing, as it was before there were boats. Shore Bass Fishing is a very challenging and rewarding form of Bass Angling. TC has a dream one day to bring Tournament Bass Fishing to us all and start The Shore Bass Fishing Trail, aka The SBFT Tour. His passion and dedication to fishing is without comparison.
