The South Platte River in Denver needs all fisherman's help! As you know, I love to fish close to home (I don't have a choice with a 16 month old son and a daughter on the way, any time.). The South Platte River in Denver has a reputation as being stinky and dirty, I am not going to argue that point, but I will say this, There are a large number of Big Carp, Trout, Walley, Small Mouth, Cat fish, Large Mouth and who knows what else.
Monday, July 27. there is a meeting to change the river. Thanks to the Greenway Foundation things are going to change! They need FISHERMAN'S HELP! They want us to be a part of the rebuilding of the Platte. They want our input on how to make the river a great place to fish. From 7-9 pm we are allowed to voice our opinion. YOU need to be at Mile Hi Station located next to Mile Hi Stadium. Go to www.carpslam.org for details.
This is a great way to help fishing close to home! I hope to see you there. Come and find me! If you can make it email me at tim@fishexplorer.com
