As Tim has mentioned on his Podcast, we're devoting attention to fishing with kids during the month of May. We're starting a Kids Fishing Photo contest tomorrow, Friday May 8. This type of contest is a new feature that I hope we can do a lot of in the future. It is free to enter and we have a lot of great prizes for the best pics as ranked by all the members and editors.

go visit the contests page. Essentially, enter the contest, submit photos, rank all photos in the gallery, and we'll announce winners when it is all said and done. As the rules state, these need to be recent (2008+) photos of children under 16 engaged in fishing, submitted by parents or friends 18 years of age and older.
Photos may be submitted May 8 - May 25. Voting will continue through May 29. Prizes include items from
Umpqua Feather Merchants,
Eagle Claw, and
Ross Reels. Grand prize is a fly fishing trip with
Tim Fishman Emery for the child and parent! See

Kids PodcastsTim has done two great podcasts in the realm of kids fishing. Check them out. Last week he
interviewed Kirk Werner who has authored some cool fly fishing books for youngsters. This week is a wonderful
interview with 11-year old fly fishing phenom Tyler Befus.
